Suggesting References for Wikidata Claims
based on Wikipedia's External References

Here we provide resources for the paper Suggesting References for Wikidata Claims based on Wikipedia's External References. The goal of this work is to automatically suggest references that support Wikidata claims, thus helping Wikidata's editors to add references to claims, and hopefully increase the coverage and quality of references in Wikidata.

Data

• We publish the content of external references as the External References of English Wikipedia (ref-wiki-en) corpus on Zenodo.
• Wikidata dumps are provided by Wikimedia.
• We extract external references from a dump of English Wikipedia in HTML.
• We also provide additional data for the results presented in the paper.

Code

• We have developed a prototype interface for testing and evaluation (see example below).
• For crawling we used Apache Nutch.
• For indexing we used Apache Solr.
